For years now, Katie has wanted to play the harp. She's had a harp in her Amazon wish list for the last two Christmases. I told her that I am really sorry but we can't spend a lot of money on a harp when she has no idea how to play it.
Imagine my surprise then, on the last day of our homeschool co-op when two of the students rolled harps into the building in order to play them for us! I ran to grab Katie, drug her to the lobby, and said, "You're not going to believe this!"
We were enthralled listening to the students play. One of them was younger than Katie!
After they were finished we talked to the girls and their mother. We got the information about lessons and we signed Katie up!
Last night was her first lesson. Fortunately all her years of piano helped her out a good bit. She was able to play "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" as soon as they showed her the basics of the harp!
