Yes, This Is a Picture Of My Dog's Butt

 Notice anything missing?

Here's a hint:

Since this video of Rigger was posted on YouTube, the number one comment people have made is, "Wow!  Look at the size of the big dogs balls!  LOL!"

I go in every so often and delete those comments because I have no patience with stupid people.

A few weeks ago, we took Rigger to the vet because he was acting "off".  He was losing hair and standing around panting a lot and I just wanted to have him checked out.

The vet noticed that one of Rigger's testicles was three times the size of the other.  Blood was drawn, tests were run and we paid a lot of money to find out that x-rays would need to be done, possibly an ultrasound, more blood-work, and possibly surgery would be needed.  All of which were going to cost a lot more money.

We discussed the fact that there was probably a tumor in his testicle.  We discussed the idea that it was probably testicular cancer.  We said the word "testicles" more times in one week than I have ever said in my life.  Then we loaded up our furry kids and our non-furry kids and headed to Georgia.

Because, my father-in-law is a veterinarian.

He performed surgery on Rigger to remove the tumor as well as all things that dangle.

Poor Rigger kept trying to stand but he was so groggy from the anesthesia, he couldn't get his legs under him and we were afraid he would hurt his joints or rip the stitches out so we just sat with him until he felt better.  He didn't try to stand as long as we were with him.

Now we are back home and Rigger's butt is bare.  It looks odd.

I mentioned to the kids, "He looks bald down there."

"No, Mama," Emily responded.  "He looks un-balled down there."

Ben and Noelle were blessed to go parasailing in Hawaii!

I wasn't there, and Ben doesn't give me a ton of details other than, "We're going parasailing", and I'm horribly sick so I can't wrap my brain around writing, so I'm just going to post the photos.  They pretty much speak for themselves.

I smile every time I look at these because of how happy they look!
